What an incredible place!

Finally in Chilean Patagonia thanks to six months of planning by our friends and Orcas neighbors, Janet Brownell and Lance Evans.   After 27 hours of traveling by ferry, car, plane and van we arrived in Torres del Paine National Park at 51 degrees South latitude. We were two degrees farther south than Orcas is north (at 49 degrees North latitude).   It's hard to describe the amazing vast beauty of this wild place, but hopefully our pictures will give you a sense of why we felt so lucky to be there.  The picture above is from our hotel room window on our first morning in Patagonia.  WOW!

For those of you who don't know, the handsome man on the left is Bill, my future husband.  I'm as happy as I look!
